The band features Johnnie Barker on bass, Scott Blum on percussion, Steven Weinreb on keys, Skip Metheny on drums. Expect a partying night of blues and New Orleans  music in that special kid red style.

Ocean Blues is at 1936 Hillview in Sarasota, FL.

All the songs that I don’t write for it will be written by people I know, mostly from New Orleans so as to keep most of the royalty money there. So far I got songs by CJ Solomon, Amzie Adams, Paul Sanchez and my favorite song writer of all, Carolyn Wonderland that I’m working besides my own songs.

I am also working on finally releasing Brand New Mambo which I recorded in 2004.The song was written by Lenny McDaniel and features him on piano and George Porter Jr. on bass. Also on the track are the amazing Wayne Lohr on organ, Pupi Menes on congas and Steve Reichlen on drums.

I’ll be playing a few gigs here and there, so check the calendar on this site or the kid red facebook page here for those dates.

In the mean time, if you would, help a brother out and click on one of the links to the right and buy my CD or download Pipe of Peace. It would really help, and big thanks to everybody who has helped me believe I have any business doing this in the first place.
